Be like the seed

He was beautiful, he stood strong
Branches wide, stem so long
Caught everyone’s eyes, inspired poets
Proud and tall, wind with him sang duets

Beside him, it lied lifeless on the ground
It waited in silence, nowhere to be found
The dormant seed, being laughed at by the mighty tree
Showing perseverance in the dirt, far from glee

There came the storm, the skies began to roar
The leaves trembled, stem scared to core
But the eyes of the seed finally shone
Like the storm was a friend whom he had known

The winds changed their song
The soft duets got all the notes wrong
In a flash and a deafening noise
The tree fell, like children’s toys

There, the seed flied
With exuberance he cried
Taking the strength and removing all doubt
Reaching at a safe place, got ready to sprout

Not like the tree, be like the seed
So the storms’ strength are on what you feed
Life is a marathon and not a dash
Give it time, only destruction happens in a flash

Have so much of catching up to do all the blogs, best way to spend 3 off days 🙂

Couldn’t agree with you more, Prateek. Most of us are like the tree, standing tall thinking nothing can touch us let alone harm us, but the nature has it’s ways to bring down everyone.
