The day spent with voices suppressing
The one from within desperate to talk
To understand where are we heading
Through the path I was unsure to walk
The journey ahead blank as a paper placed
In the light of curiosity, as if coming from a lamp
With a mug of madness that keeps me unfazed
I mark the road like a pen dancing without a cramp
Evening diffusing into a moonless blue
Marking the end of voices outside
Making inner ones echo through
The walls of a learning mind
The rhythmic tick-tock of the clock
In sync with chirping of a distant cricket
Composes a symphony to open the lock
To a peaceful world where they took the rickett
An irregular hexagon of thoughts
With each side provoking a sense
To explore by joining the collected dots
To see the sky through a canopy dense
This was the Day 1 of the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge for which the amazing writer-photographer Prajakta nominated me. Her blog is a blend of informative articles, engrossing writings, beautiful poetry and great pictures. Thank you, Prajakta for this unique and interesting challenge. 🙂
My first nomination for this is Asid. He is a person who could inspire you by just a simple account of one of his regular days. If you don’t already know about him, do check this out.
The challenge is – “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”
And you kick off with a bang!! Thank you for such lovely words of appreciation 🙂 Interesting choice of title

Literally life is all blank and after graduation what seems to hover our minds is “what’s next” and I guess we are on the same boat and all the bad storms heading !! Anyways ignore my rumblings 😛
I can say “feelings are mutual” on this post!!
Keep rocking! 🙂

Your rumblings is music here 😉 I sometimes feel paralyzed to see people who are so sure about what they want to do and it is a wonderful thing to have these honest thoughts from people writing truthfully 😀
Thank you so much for sharing 🙂

Your writing is so enticing and creatively arranged. “The journey ahead blank as a paper placed
In the light of curiosity, as if coming from a lamp
With a mug of madness that keeps me unfazed
I mark the road like a pen dancing without a cramp”
The truth in these words, the relativity to my life, and probably many others deems this easily one of my favorite pieces of yours thus far. Awesome job! 🙂

“To understand where are we heading
Through the path I was unsure to walk” This is so right! We do something in doubt and then we just flow through it. To weak to decide or to change, we rather just accept.
Beautifully written. 😀 and I just love the title, it itself delivers so many things.

This is yet another poetry from you, where I would not pick any particular verse that I loved the most, since the whole poetry is so beautiful and thought provoking. I loved it! Who could think of writing on a lamp and calling it as a hexagon of thoughts? Only you! ❤

Thank you thank you, Kritika! The hexagon of Benzene has haunted me for 5 years. It is difficult to ignore it now 😀

I loved the relativity you’ve brought with the objects on your desk and the mess of thoughts that surround us. In the Night, especially.
