A wink!

SDC12627-edited

In times of darkness look around
Eyes fixed on the beauty of moon
While feet sticking firmly on ground
A path lights up singing your tune

Destination being the palace white
Could be closerΒ than you think
Now that feet move towards glowing light
The path will be as long as a wink

    Lovely!
The mighty accrue enlightenment at each and every point of our lives.
See, how we lose motivation when destiny is just near to pour nectar on us!
It is just like that wink that our life changes and the dusk turns into dawn.

Very true, Dileep. Thank you so much for this insightful comment. The trick is to get back just one more time after one has been knocked down. Glad to see the thoughts resonate. Have a great day πŸ™‚

You are missing nothing, I’ve posted hardly anything the past week. I didn’t even check
        WordPress for that matter. πŸ˜›

We both went through a busy week, sigh!

Destination being the palace white, made me think about the pearly gates. Are we discussing heaven here? Read it that way, too much truth too it.

That is a lovely perspective, Isra! Thank you for sharing this one. Though, I pointed towards any destination or goal that we set for ourselves, your perspective gives more sense to these lines. Thank you so much for reading so deeply πŸ™‚

Such Beautiful composition.. I loved this starting :
In times of darkness look around
Eyes fixed on the beauty of moon

Kind of symbolic to look at the brighter side of life

They all look so small once we have completed the journey through them. And then we say, “it was like just yesterday when so and so happened” πŸ™‚
Thank you so much as always, ma’am πŸ™‚

‘just keep swimming….swimming’…..said Dory to Nemo’s dad in Finding Nemo…..that’s what we often fail to do…..when the destination is near, and the spirit starts getting tired…..a well-worded poem Prateek…..

A lovely poem from start to finish, Prateek. Such wonderful imagery – and open to various interpretations regarding the ‘Destination being the palace white’ and the ‘glowing light’. The opening two lines and the last line are just perfect. Beautifully written.
(I’m late reading this because I’ve had no Internet connection since last Sunday. Engineers eventually decided to sort it out yesterday. πŸ™‚

Hi Prateek. You’re very welcome to my appreciation. Your poetry is excellent and deserves every praise. I’ve noticed the link to your post and will hop over to read it very soon. Hope your new job is what you wanted and you’ll be very happy doing it. You can’t be expected to be on your blog when you’re so busy, so you have nothing to apologise about! I didn’t put any posts up during the week because I had no internet – which I’m mad about. I’m very behind with posts I’d planned to do. Oh well, never mind, as they say… Talk again soon. πŸ™‚

So true! I agree! πŸ™‚ “The path will be as long as a wink”! This is just pure awesomness dripping of your pen. Man, how did you even get those two random words, with nothing in common, and weaved it into something so meaningful. Hats off! πŸ˜€
