Not enough

From the murmuring sea of the crowd
A forgotten voice emerges like a dolphin
Breaking the monotony with a splash so loud
Music to the ears, to the tongue its muffin

A silent wish, for a forsaken smile
A memory unleashed from the sea
Majestically, as if walking down the aisle
The dolphin disappears, leaving eyes with glee

The words spoken were few, like
The small dolphin in the ocean
Still was distinctly spotted – a spike
Among hundreds without motion

The water becomes blue again
A deafening silence to engulf
The violently panicking brain
Only to understand, a memory is not enough

Lethargic still seems okay. I had expected ‘dumb’ 😀
It just didn’t strike me that I should check it from the phone! -_-
(Or maybe I was too afraid to take the phone while talking to you 😛 )

I re-read it because it is so contemplative! The imagery of sea and dolphin linking to the reality. Amazeballs! 😀

Amazeballs is a real word ! I don’t know what, but something is dirty about this word 😀
I am glad you could relate to it. Recently had a call from some friends who were out of touch for 7 years! So it wasn’t completely fiction. Happy you liked it ^_^

So this is what you’ve been doing while I was away! Penning mesmerizing poetry! 😉 Dolphins are a favorite. And the thoughts behind the poem so relate-able… Beautifully done, as always.

A memory at times is never enough… Because behind it there are thousands more 🙂 Lovely use of sea and dolphins here. I could feel the mischief of the dolphin!
